How much is the deposit?

For Open Yard storage, an $80 deposit is due, and for Shipping Containers it is $100 per unit. Clients are also issued with a security access card or two, each has a $20 deposit. A holding fee deposit can be paid to ensure availability of a particular unit up to two weeks in advance - talk to us about your specific requirements.

Do you offer insurance for stored items?

We can assist clients with a range of companies who are endorsed by the self storage association and who specialise in self storage insurance, though your current insurer is likely to have products that might suit and they might offer further loyalty discounts.

We don't don't make any commission for referring clients, meaning you save on your premiums.

Do you take credit card payments?

We accept cheques or electronic funds transfer for ongoing monthly payments, and also cash for initial deposits. We don't currently accept credit card payments.

You can pay in advance, or automatically from your financial institution each month.

Can I bring my own shipping container?

We don't currently allow customers to leave their own shipping containers, for a variety of reasons:
  • We stand by the safety and security of our containers, and the cost and logistics of assessing other containers before they are brought on site would be prohibitive
  • The equipment required to drop off a container in a suitable space and set it up on mounts in not inconsiderable, and we like to carefully control such activity to ensure there is no adverse impact on other customers. As most requests to use a privately owned shipping container are for short term use, it becomes non economically viable

What is the shortest period I can store for?

The shortest term we offer is one month - talk to us about your specific requirements.

Are the units dry and well ventilated?

Yes, and yes. Each unit is a class 'A' shipping container with ventilators installed. They will keep out even the nastiest of weather, keeping your goods fresh and dry.

Do I need to provide a set of keys?

No. For liability reasons, we don't hold a set of keys at any stage. In the event of an emergency, we will have the appropriate authorities break into locked units as necessary for safety  (e.g. Fire Brigade). We have a range of specially designed security container locks for purchase if necessary.

Is there electrical power available?

We don't provide power into any of the units for safety reasons. Sufficient external lighting is available during our normal operating hours.

What can and can’t I store?

We respect your privacy. What you store is entirely your business! However to protect all users, hazardous, dangerous, illegal, stolen, perishable environmentally harmful or explosive goods must not be stored.

Can you help me move in?

Yes we can - we have a large trailer available for customer's use in moving in.

Sites and containers can be book up to two (2) weeks in advance so you can "be ready to go" when the time comes.

Can I cancel at any time?

If you're on a continuing contract, yes you can. All we require is seven (7) days notice of your intention to vacate your storage unit.

What do I need to do to get started?

Call us or use the contact page and we'll set up a convenient time for you to inspect the facility and for us to discuss your needs.

How much does it cost?

Our pricing is always very competitive, if not the best in the area for what we believe to be the most secure premises. Our customers also appreciate that we provide wide lane ways for easy access rather than cramming in as many spaces as possible. Consequently, other yards might from time to time be able to offer cheaper rates, however the price difference is usually very small for the added convenience. We don't quote prices online, as we want to ensure we can provide you with the right service for your needs, and then get the best price for you. When you take out a contract with us, you can choose to pay up front, by cash or by electronic funds transfer from your bank account.

When can I get access to my unit?

We offer access from 7:00am to 7:00pm 7 days a week. Outside these hours, we keep the facility locked down to maximise security; any movement outside these times will trigger an onsite response from our monitoring team. Should it ever be necessary, we can provide 24 hour emergency access to your unit.

How much storage do I need?

We recommend the use of shipping containers for most customers, due to their inherently high level of physical security.

Most cars, small to medium size boats and even full size four wheel drive vehicles can be stored securely inside a shipping container (many of them came here that way!).

As a guide, a 20 foot shipping container will accommodate the contents of a typical 3 bedroom house.

Caravans and motor homes tend not to be able to fit in shipping containers, so are stored inside the yard.
